Course will consist of:
Training within each element and gaining a good understanding of what is required from you within each element.
Progression to putting each element into practical application with student.
Moving on to fault identification, fault analysis and fault rectification with student.
CBT1 – Requirements
Minimum 21 years old
Full Licence 3 Years+
Clean Driving Licence

Introduction to CBT
Practical on-site training
Practical on-site riding
Practical on-road training
Practical on-road riding
Studying other instructors to enable you to correct their faults (You are ultimately training to become supervisory in order to attend Cardington).
Course Fees:
We provide an intense course at the cost of £800. This is for 5 days intense training, Monday to Saturday, 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. This course is designed for Down Trained Trainers (People who have already worked actively in CBT) and is conducted by a Cardington assessed instructor.
We provide ongoing training over a period of 6 months at the cost of £100 per week. This course enables study and Practice at a steady rate. This course is designed for people who have never conducted or been actively involved in CBT. The course will be conducted over three days per week (to be arranged). These days will consist of one study day and two training days. Your study day will consist of learning integral parts of elements set by your instructor. One days training will be watching/putting this element into practice. The third training day will be watching at a supervisory level and giving debrief.
All courses will be tailored to the individuals needs as everyone will have different learning rates.
Qualification
Once training has been completed you will attend The Driving Standard Agency Training and Development centre in Cardington, Bedfordshire.
You will undergo a two day assessment to gain your CBT1.
PLEASE NOTE: Whilst we will try and endeavour to get you ready for Cardington, we cannot guarantee a pass. This will be down to hard study on the individual’s part. Some courses may need to be extended.
Direct Access Instructor
After you have gained your CBT1 qualification, you can continue to train as a DAS Instructor.
This is a half day course at the Driving Standards Agency Training and Development Centre in Cardington, Bedfordshire.
The DAS qualification will enable to progress people from a 125cc to the 500cc machines.
Course Constituents:
DAS Start – Familiarisation with the larger capacity machine
Preset Tests to help the new rider overcome handling and riding problems on-site
Learning the 12 Preset Tests (As three will be set for you at Cardington)
Again this course can be tailored to your needs and free time.
